Artechouse is an immersive art space with cutting edge technology based exhibits and the world’s first augmented reality cocktails. We are seeking an experienced bartender with management experience or aspirations to fulfill the role of Lead Bartender.  As we reopen our DC space, we are hiring a Lead Bartender. This will be a full-time position working with the location leader and bar management directly.  

 

WHO ARE YOU
As Lead Bartender, you will bartend as well as manage the shift and while maintaining responsibility for closing the space.  This person should have 3+ years of bartending experience and be able hold  themselves and fellow bartenders accountable to the standard and procedure set forth by the management team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of craft cocktail procedure 
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to hold oneself and fellow bartenders accountable to bar and gallery procedure
  • Maintain daily standards of practice and procedure.  
  • Oversee daily bar setup.  Ensure setup is done with proper procedure and in a timely fashion.  
  • Take inventory of produce and supplies.  
  • Review daily exhibit schedule and communicate to bartenders
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of bar after bartenders have completed closing procedure
  • Take inventory of spirits/wine/beer and supplies
  • Ability to supervise closing and be last one to leave the building

CORE QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS

  • 3+ years bartending experience
  • 1 year management experience in full service bar 
  • Basic knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Food Managers license or ability to attain one
  • Ability to lift 50LBS
  • Ability to work until 12 AM, 5 nights a week
  • Flexible availability
